The HiPath 4000 communications server is the central control unit and supports the direct integration of appropriate standard server applications in the system, with modular, stackable hardware for seamless expansion and an IP switch for medium-sized and large enterprises.

With the ability to be implemented and expanded in all configurations, the Siemens HiPath 4000 communication server can support up to 15 directly connected access points, plus 83 IP-distributed access points. A maximum of 12,000 digital or IP subscribers can be supported in a single system, with up to 100,000 users being implemented without difficulty into a networked HP4000 system.
